9th June - Delhi

We woke up at 5.45am to do some early morning yoga!! It was really funny and very different to english yoga, we had to roar like lions and laugh out loud was all very strange! I also managed to just about master balancing on my arms with my legs up, trush however is much better at the weird breathing exercises.

We had a meeting in the morning with Youth Reach and they put is in touch with Salaam Baala trust, which is an NGO for street children.

In the afternoon we visited a nearby Qutumb Minar, the temperatures were definately rising!!!

We spent the rest of the afternoon back inside reading our books.

We met Dhruv (friend from uni) in the evening. He spent about 3 hours in traffic trying to find us but eventually reached us. We went out to dinner to the largest mall in Dehli, in has brand new car!! Its crazy all on the same road are merecedes/bentleys and then rickshaws(Tuk Tuk) and people cycling.
We had a really nice dinner (bought by dhruv!) We had 9 different flavour sauces like humous and then chicken tikka mousaka for main,(agreed that it was a curry by trusha)it was by far the best one I have ever tasted.

8th June - Delhi

Woke up fairly late due to jet lag and lack of sleep because of the sound of the airconditioning!! We had curry for breakfast at 12 then 2hours later more curry!!(which trushas says wasnt curry) Luckily it's been fairly cool, so we sat outside reading our books, we also went on a walk around their grounds and met their cows.
In the afternoon we took a taxi into the city to meet a lady about work experience, but no luck! The taxi ride was fascinating and brought back memories of vietnam where everyone cuts everyone off and there is a continuous beeping from all the traffic. Everyone seemed to be really busy replacing the pavements for the common wealth games coming this year.

7th June - Delhi

Arrive in delhi at 11pm after watching 3films on the flight! At the airport trusha's family friends picked us up and we got to experience delhi traffic!! Absolute chaos!!
We then went to their house where we ate our first bit of curry!
